UP1 Reflection #1 What I learned

I took Tomomi's special lecture on May 8. She is a Mrs SAKE Japan 2024. And she established Niigata SAKE Lovers to promote the appeal of Japanese sake to the world.

What I learned in the lecture is that English is just a tool to communicate with people better. I used to study English as just one subject. But after listening to the lectuer, I decided to actively study English for my future.

I also learned that it is important to consider "Ikigai" when choosing a job. Ikigai consists of four items. They are What you Love, What you are good at, What you can be paid for, What the world needs. I am currently considering working in a hospital as a dietitian. But I decided to think about my Ikigai during college life and find a job that suits me.

I thought the food × drink × climate was interesting in the lecture. I am from Okinawa, and in Okinawa, there is a traditional sake called Awamori. I don't know what foods fit Awamori, what kind of climate is suitable for Awamori. So, I want to learn about it when I went back to Okinawa.

Through the lecture, I learnd about the attitude when learning English, about "Ikigai", and about the local food culture. I had a very informative time.
